Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) Secretary General Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri has said that PML-N despite having control over most of the resources and production in Punjab has failed to play an active role on the national issues.
Talking to a delegation of party activists from Okara headed by district president Syed Ikhtisham ul Haq Gilani, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri said that loadshedding is an issue of all the provinces but miseries of people of Punjab were highlighted only.
He said that Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has put forward several demands before the restoration of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA). It shows that certain powers were dictating JI and they don’t want restoration of religious parties alliance.
Elaborating further, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri said that the JI was demanding the Presidentship of MMA, 50 percents seats in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and insisting for written agreement in this regard.
The JUI-F leader said resignation from parliament would not resolve issues relating to restoration of Nato supplies and drone attacks.
He said that if the Nato supplies were restored through parliament’s approval then it would be an official decision but majority of the masses were not in favour to allow Pakistan route for Nato supplies.
