The prices of vegetables and chicken have gone up at the city’s Sunday bazaars as compared to the previous week. According to list, this Sunday the prices of potatoes, tomatoes, tenda, ladyfinger, peas and chicken witnessed significant increase than the last Sunday. Whereas, the prices of garlic, ginger, bitter gourd, cabbage, and pumpkin also registered slight increase. As per the list, this week the prices of tomatoes witnessed an increase of Rs 4 per kg. Tomatoes were sold at Rs 40 per kg against the last week price when it was available for Rs 36 per kg. This week the prices of chicken registered an increase of Rs 20 per kg and it was sold at Rs 152 per kg against the last Sunday’s price of Rs 132 per kg. According to the list, the prices of tomatoes also jumped up to Rs 20 per kg against the last week’s price of Rs 17 per kg. The prices of garlic and ginger also witnessed an increase of Rs 4 per kg respectively. Garlic and ginger were sold at Rs 92 per kg each. Similarly, the prices of peas witnessed an increase of Rs 16 per kg. Peas were sold at Rs 60 per kg against the last week’s price of Rs 44 per kg. The prices of lemon and cucumber also witnessed an increase of Rs 30 and Rs 4 per kg respectively. According to the list, this week lemon was sold at Rs 110 per kg than the last Sunday’s rate of Rs 80 per kg and cucumber was sold at Rs 30 per kg against the previous week’s price of Rs 26 per kg. This Sunday, the prices of green chili, ginger, brinjal, shimla, pumpkin and cauliflower remained stable. However, the prices of apple (Kalani) witnessed an increase of Rs 10 per kg. Kalani apple was sold at Rs 150 per kg against the previous week’s rate of Rs 140 per kg. Whereas, this week the prices of apple (golden) recorded an increase of Rs 20 per kg and it was sold at Rs 120 per kg. According to the list, banana was sold at Rs 70 per dozen and Orange (Punjabi) was sold at Rs 100 per dozen.
