Former London Police officers call on IGP

LAHORE – A two-member London Police delegation called on Punjab Police Inspector General (IGP) Javed Iqbal at the Punjab Central Police Office (CPO) on Monday for establishing a new command and control system.
The delegation consisting of former London Metro Police chief of operations Tariq Ghafoor and Dr Amanat Hussain has a vast experience of establishing command and control system in London and Dubai, UAE.
The delegation would stay in Lahore for three weeks. Keeping in view advice of the IGP, the delegation would locate and pinpoint appropriate places in
the city, where CCTV cameras would
be installed. The delegation told the IGP that the system they are going to introduce in the city would be helpful in curbing crimes and controlling traffic in Lahore. The delegation would also visit various sections of the Police Department and meet senior police officers.
