Acknowledging sacrifices of Pakistan in war against terror, the United States ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter said his country wants talks with Pakistan to resolve all issues including Salala check post incident.
In an exclusive interview to VOG, he said Washington and Islamabad should prefer negotiations regarding their mutual relations and the US is ready for talks on Salala incident and NATO supply to Afghanistan.
He said the US investors want to invest in Pakistan but they are looking for circumstances which are suitable for investment.
He said Washington is ready to extend financial aid to Pakistan and Afghanistan for their stability.
He said the US acknowledges sacrifices of Pakistan in war against terror, which is a common issue for them.
Terrorism is a core issue faced by Islamabad, Washington and Kabul, he added.
He said distance in relations of both the countries must be bridged by mutual efforts.
Munter said the tripartite commission has been established and it is aimed at reducing the differences among the countries, and all the outstanding issues must be resolved amicably.
To a question regarding negotiations with Taliban, he said it is not yet certain how long it would take, however, the US wants peace in Afghanistan and an acceptable democratic government according to wishes of the Afghan people.
