L’Oréal Professional, the Parisian house of hairdressing, exclusively presented their Spring/Summer 2012 collection in Pakistan through a visionary show, ‘Somptueux’, for which the world’s leading professional brand, teamed up with iconic stylist and L’Oréal Pakistan’s creative consultant, Nabila. The evening began with a presentation of attributes common between haute couture and hairdressing, followed by a hair and fashion show where paired models, presented L’Oréal Professional’s three looks for the season: rich chocolate brown, magenta red and blonde. The visionary showcase concluded with a live coiffure demonstration by Nabila where she styled and cut model Iraj’s hair in under 20 seconds. The show was complemented by live music produced by Emu of E-Mix featuring Shallum Xavier, Nafees Ahmed and Alicia, wardrobe by Zaheer Abbas and Omer Farooq of Republic with styling by N-PRO. The evening was attended by industry stalwarts including: L’Oréal Pakistan Managing Director Musharaf Hai, Wasim Akram; fashion designers Rizwan Beyg, Safinaz Munir, Nomi Ansari, Amir Adnan, Nomi Ansari and Munib Nawaz; jewellery designer Kiran Aman; stylists/make-up artists Nighat Misbah of Depilex, Nabiha Zeeshan of The Square, Pakistan Hair and Beauty Association President Ruhana Iqbal; models Nadia Hussain and Meera Ansari; photographers Tapu Javeri and Ayaz Anis and Syed Shafaat Ali Jaffery of Banana News Network.
