The sale of books at Punjab University’s book fair touched new heights of record as a total of 100,616 books were sold in Pakistan’s largest three-day book fair.
Deputy Chief Librarian Haroon Usmani said according to finalised data, 7787 books were sold on 1st day, 20,268 on second day and 72,561 books were sold on the third day of book fair. Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has congratulated all the team members and heads of committees on the landmark success of book fair.
PU COMPLETES DENGUE SPRAY: Punjab University Health Centre has completed spray of insecticides.
PU Chief Medical Officer Prof Dr Nauman said in a statement that spray teams comprising 5 to 10 members carried out the insecticide spray in different parts of the both campuses including hostels on daily basis.
He said almost all hostels and residential colony had been disinfected with this continuous spray of insecticides.
PU to remain closed on March 23: Punjab University will remain closed on Friday, March 23 on account of Pakistan Day.
