At least three passers-by women were killed and two others were injured when a roadside bomb went off on Saturday.
Official sources said that unidentified miscreants had planted the bomb in the Mandikas area of Bara tehsil in Khyber Agency. Local people, political administration officials, security forces, rescue teams and ambulances reached the scene of the blast and started rescue operation.
The injured persons were rushed to a local hospital. The security forces cordoned off the area after the blast and launched a search operation. Security in the region was beefed up after the incident.
