PFF bans, fines Police players

The Pakistan Football Federation has on Friday banned and fined Police team players who were involved in disrupting the KRL Football Challenge Cup match at Karachi. The tournament disciplinary committee awarded KRL three goals win against Police Football Team because of physical assault by their six police players against the match referee and imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 and six match suspension against each of the guilty Police team players. In an unfortunate and unforeseen incident during the KRL and Police team match at Peoples Football Stadium, Karachi, the PFF held discipline supreme and insisted on fair play.
The tournament disciplinary committee took a serious view of the violent behavior of the six players of Police team and fined them Rs 20,000 each and suspended them for six matches under Section 1, Article 31 & 47 of PFF Code of Conduct and Discipline. Meanwhile, Army and PAF played a one-all draw at the KPT Football Stadium, Karachi. Army scorer was Rashid (17 Minute) and PAF scorer was captain Irfan Ali (92+2 minute). PPWD beat Railway 2-1 at the Peoples Stadium. PPWD got its goals from Muhammad Jan (78 Minute) and Aqeel (86 Minute) while scorer of Railway was Amin (54 Minute). WAPDA beat Navy 3-0 and Muhammad Ahmed (2 Goals 56 and 90+1 Minute) and Akram Masih (73 Minute) made the win easy.
