The British government on Thursday announced major changes in immigration rules for non-EU citizens.
Under the new rules Tier 1 Post Study Work (PSW) Visa will be closed from April 6. Tier 1 PSW was a two-year visa meant to allow foreign students who have studied in the UK to stay in the UK following graduation to look for work without having an employer. The closer of this route will affect thousands of Asian students especially from Pakistan and India who would not be able to stay in the UK after completing their degrees from April 6. Similarly, the government is introducing a new Tier 1 (graduate entrepreneur) route with up to only 1,000 places for students working on world-class innovative ideas, who want to stay and develop them but do not meet the requirements of the Tier 1 Entrepreneur route.
Presenting the new measures in parliament, Immigration Minister Damian Green announced that the government is introducing a new minimum pay requirement of £35,000 or the appropriate rate for the job, for Tier 2 general and sportsperson migrants who wish to settle here from April 2016 with exemptions for those in PhD level and shortage occupation categories. Under the new rules for students, the time that can be spent studying at degree level on a Tier 4 Student Visa will be restricted to a general limit of 5 years. The government is also limiting the total amount of temporary leave that may be granted to a Tier 2 migrant to 6 years, Similarly a new ‘cooling-off period’ across all the Tier 2 routes will be enforced from April 6. Tier 2 migrants will need to wait for 12 months from the expiry of their previous visa before they may apply for a further Tier 2 visa.
Under the new measures all overseas domestic workers (ODW) would be restricted to only work for the employer with whom they entered the UK, or whom they came to join and they will have no right under the ODW category to apply for permanent settlement in the UK. Similarly they would not be allowed to bring their dependents into the UK. The new visitor route will allow a small group of professionals, artists, entertainers and sportspersons who are invited to come to the UK to undertake short-term permitted fee paid engagements for up to 1 month.

The restaurants will be short of workers as the Pakistani "students" will not get visas. They can learn to wash dishes in Pakistan.

I am Pakistani citizen and deported from UK in September 2013, because they found fake Pakistani immigration entry stamp (which was done myself for showing less days stay in UK but i never-ever stay more than 50 days and UKBA Officer not banned and said you can apply any time with fresh application and fee) of Pakistan and my two years multiple visit visa has been cancelled but not ban, so can i apply for UK or Australia?
