The city police on Thursday claimed to have arrested 10 persons for their alleged involvement in dacoities, drug peddling and recovered a car, 24 wine bottles, 1.345 kilogram hashish and fake currency from their possession.
According to details, the Secretariat Police arrested a bootlegger Iftikhar Hussain for having 24 wine bottles. Tarnol police nabbed a drug pusher Israel and recovered 1.110 kilogram hashish from him. Sub-Inspector Ghulam Shabbir also arrested a car thief Haroon and recovered Suzuki Mehran car (LOD-5152) from him while ASI Najeeb Ullah from Nilore police nabbed Falak Sher for possessing a 30 bore pistol.
Kohsar police arrested an accused Naveed Aslam in possession of 30 bore pistol while Sub-Inspector Muhammad Usman annbed Hameed and Sajjad Hussain for having a 235 gram hashish.
Whereas Ramna police arrested an accused Imran and recovered looted items worth Rs 10,000 from his possession. ASI Asif Khan, Muhammad Iqbal, Ali Muhammad from Golra police arrested three persons identified as Maqbool, Perveen, Bahadara Bibi and Zakir Hussain for having two pistols and fake currently worth Rs 39,000.
