Tariq Mehmood and Wajid Ali won the gross and net titles of the Chief of the Naval Staff Golf Cup Championship 2012 that concluded here on Tuesday.
The closing ceremony of a 3 day Zong CNS Amateur Golf Tournament was held at Margalla Greens Golf Club (MGGC) on Tuesday and was attended by a large number of civil and military dignitaries.
In the net category, Wajid Ali of Margalla Greens Golf Club won with a total net score of 208 whereas, Commander (Retd) Rizwan Rashid, remained the net runner-up with a total net score of 210.
In the gross category, Tariq Mehmood won with a total gross score of 223, while Ghazanfer Mahmod of Rawalpindi, stood runner-up. He was followed by Captain Ansar Mahmood of Navy from Margalla Green Golf Club and Idrees Nisar from Rawalpindi Golf Club.
In seniors category, Brigadier (Retd) Sarfraz Khan won the match in net category with a total score of 142. In gross category, Lt Col (Retd) Shahid Hussain won with a total score of 163.
Addressing to the closing ceremony, Chief of the Naval Staff expressed his satisfaction over the conduct of the first ever such tournament in Margalla Green Golf Club and congratulated the prize winners.
