Drugs reaction case: SC says imperialism prevailing in Punjab

The Supreme Court (SC) senior judge Justice Saqib Nisar has said that there is a system of imperialism in Punjab and the provincial government don’t care about the court decisions.
Justice Saqib Nisar gave these remarks during hearing of Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) medicines reaction case here on Monday.
A bench of apex court heard the PIC medicines reaction suo moto notice case in the SC Lahore registry.
He said that like emperors the provincial government issues notifications regarding sacking of officials.
Justice Saqib Nisar said that courts talk about the law but government don’t follow the decisions. He said that violation of law and constitution would not be tolerated further.
The SC bench also issued notice to the provincial government on plea of former chief of PIC Dr Azhar. In his petition Dr Azhar was of the view that he was sacked and the Punjab government claims regarding his resignation was not true.
Later the court adjourned the hearing till March 16.
