Unknown militants shot dead Malik Waris Khan, a leading tribal elder and chief of peace Lashkar, in Ferozkhel area of Orakzai Agency on Friday. Oofficials reported that unknown militants shot dead Waris in his rest house. The assailants succeeded in escaping after killing the tribal elder.
So far no one has claimed responsibility for killing the tribal elder. Meanwhile, security forces claimed killing seven militants in retaliatory action in Dabori area of Orakzai. The retaliation was in militants’ attack on a checkpost of the security forces. Two personnel of the security forces were injured in the attack.
