The College of Art and Design at the University of Punjab, launched the MS Art History Programme here on Friday. The orientation of the first batch of eighteen students was held at the college during which the principal, Prof Dr Rahat Naveed Masud welcomed the students and briefed them about the value of this programme.
She said that this programme would help in producing art historians, critics, museum and gallery curators and art activists. The Coordinator of Research Center, Dr Shaukat Mahmood along with Dr Anis Sidiqui, Dr Shahida Manzoor, Dr Nadhra Khan, Dr Barbara Schmitz, Athar Tahir, Dr Shoaib Ahmad and Nadeem Alam introduced the curriculum along with various Art-History subjects designed and developed particularly for this programme.
