The Sindh Assembly unanimously passed a resolution on Friday condemning the recent spate of wall chalking and posters seen in Karachi calling for a Muhajir province, and called on the government to expose whoever was behind it.
The Muhajir Sooba Tehreek held a protest in Karachi earlier this week and has been promoting itself via graffiti and emails to media organizations.
However, two of the proposers of the resolution — Sindh Culture Minister Sassui Palijo and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MPA Humera Alwani — noted that a coalition partner of the PPP had not signed the resolution, which they would have liked.
When questioned, Alwani told reporters that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had not signed the resolution and their assent to the resolution when it was put to vote was not audible.
However, an MQM MPA Moin Pirzada made a speech condemning the graffiti but asked if the government should open talks with the movement’s backers or other separatist groups, a suggestion Palijo rubbished.
Session of the Sindh Assembly was adjourned till Monday morning.

  1. when ppp is so strongly campaigning for breaking up punjab and kpk ,then why not break up sindh first? the ppp has two thirds majority in the sindh assembly, they should immediately divide up sindh to create a new muhajir province and then talk about dividing other provinces.

  2. MQM IS INVOLVE IN BHUTA KHORI AT KARACHI…BUT HIS PLAY IS ANTI ROLL ..ALL THE AGENCY'S OF APKSITAN ARE WELL KNOWN ABOUT THE GROUPS OF BHUTA KHORI..BUT STILL ACTION IS NOT TAKEN SO FAR. NOW REQEUST TO GOVT. TAKE ACTION URGENTLY. TKX.

  3. what all happening in Pakistan it is just because of PPP, They disintegrated pakistan now divide the country on the basis of etinicity. They are openly demanding sariki province then whats wrong with muhajir province.PPP is digging a grave for Punjab but may be they fall the sindh in it violently God bless pakistan
