Railways engine drivers on strike

Train drivers of Pakistan Railways went on strike to get their demands.
Railways minister Ghulam Ahmed Bilour, taking notice of the disruption in rail service, called the protesters for negotiations.
Train drivers Association continued their strike across the country including Lahore. The demonstrators held back the engine of Allama Iqbal Express at Loco-shed Lahore.
Drivers of Shalimar Express and Hazara Express plying from Karachi also balked at running the trains. Meantime, four trains including Jaffer Express, Quetta Express, Bahaud Din Zakaria Express and Sukkur were held back at Sukkur Station.
Awam Express running from Peshawar has also been halted.
Train Drivers Association said neither any train will run nor will the hunger strike be brought to an end until their demands are met.
