Two unidentified men were found dead from two different areas of the city on Wednesday. A 45-year old unidentified man was found dead under mysterious circumstances from a drain located near Babu Sabu interchange in the Sherankot Police precincts. Residents of the area spotted the dead body and informed the police, who removed the body to morgue for autopsy. The police said that the deceased’s body had decomposed and was four to five days old. Officials stated that investigations were underway and they were searching for the heirs. An unidentified 18-year old youngster was found unconscious from Qila Gujjar Singh area. The dead body was spotted lying along the roadside over which locals informed rescue officials, who after reaching the scene shifted him to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him as dead. The police said that the deceased was an addict and died due excessive use of drugs.
FIRE: Valuables worth thousands of rupees were reduced to ashes when fire broke into a bookshop located in Old Anarkali Area late on Tuesday night. Fire erupted in the old book shop owned by one Masood Javed due to short circuit that burnt down valuables including books and furniture worth thousands of rupees. Rescue officials after reaching the scene extinguished the fire.
