Senate has unanimously passed a resolution for early recovery of missing persons.
The resolution was submitted by Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Khursheed Ahmad. The resolution said that keeping people under illegal detention is a concerning matter.
The resolution further said making people disappear was extreme violation of constitution and the Senate demanded of the government to recover the missing persons.
The Senate resolves that the federal and provincial governments should take immediate and effective steps to ensure the speedy recovery and release of all such persons, except those who are charged under the law of the land for any offence.
The Senate also demands that detailed report in this respect should be presented to the House as early as possible.
