Australian athletics chiefs Tuesday submitted a list of 25 nominations to the country’s Olympic committee for this year’s London Games. It includes world 100m hurdles champion Sally Pearson and world long jump silver medallist Mitchell Watt, pre-selected following their performances at last year’s world championships.
Defending Olympic pole vault gold medallist Steve Hooker and two-time 400m hurdles world champion Jana Pittman are missing but the final cut-off date is not until June 11.
Henry Frayne is listed in both the long jump and triple jump.
