Cop among three killed across Balochistan

Three people, including a police officer, were killed and another injured in separate acts of violence in Balochistan on Monday, while a dead body was recovered in the outskirts of Quetta.
According to police officials, Assistant Sub Inspector Syed Badal Khan and constable Syed Dedar Khan were heading towards Dera Murad Jamali from Chattar when unidentified armed men intercepted them at Subatpur Road and attempted to snatch their motorcycle. They opened fire when the ASI offered resistance. As a result, ASI Syed Badal Khan was killed, while constable Dedar Khan received serious wounds. The assailants fled along with the motorbike.
In another incident, a person was killed in Dera Murad Jamali, 400kms southeast of Quetta. Police said Abdul Haleem, resident of Sindh was killed by unidentified persons who escaped from the site after committing the crime. In another incident, a man was shot dead in Baghnari area of Bolan district, 80kms southeast of Quetta. The incident occurred in Gott Rustom Abro when unidentified armed men sprayed bullet on Sumar Khan and fled.
Three power pylons blown up in Machh: Three power pylons of 220-KV were blown up in Machh, 60kms southeast of Quetta, on Monday. Levies officials said unknown people had attached explosives to three electricity towers in Machh that exploded and badly damaged the pylons. As a result, power supply from the three towers was suspended. According to officials of Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO), repairs on the damaged pylons would be started after getting security clearance. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
