The puppeteers of National Puppet Theatre (NPT) mesmerised children from various educational institutions of the twin cities on Monday, featuring colourful show that primarily focussed on environment education. Attired in traditional costumes, the puppets were showcased as a troupe of little actors at Children’s Theatre. The show is regularly organised for school children at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in collaboration with the Ministry of National Heritage and Integration. The colorful puppets performed on various roles in form of different characters to address social issues like environment, health, cleanliness and education. Featuring animated expressions, the puppets presented national songs, regional dances, tableaus, skits while the segment of story telling also involve children to communicate with the puppets.Puppeteers expressed their concern over pollution and maintaining cleanliness in the surroundings to educate the young generation for protecting the environment with informative entertainment.
