IT WAS, until Avatar, the highest-grossing film in history. And it would be an understatement to say Titanic was a landmark in the careers of its stars Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. But Winslet is not overjoyed at the thought of revisiting the film when Titanic 3D is released next month. And not only because she’ll see herself in the buff in three dimensions. “I’m sure I wasn’t really a very good actress. Seriously, we are talking about something that happened 15 years ago,” she told USA Today. “I’ve learnt so much, and I’ve changed as a person so much since then. Can you imagine anything stranger?” Titanic director and 3D enthusiast James Cameron has shown Winslet a portion of the 3D rejig. “I was literally like, ‘Oh my God, make it stop! Is that me? Oh my God, that’s me. Block my ears, somebody! Somebody club out my senses. Make it f—-ing stop!’ “ she says. “And Leo looks so young and so skinny!” The film’s Oscar-winning producer Jon Landau will be in Australia this month to promote the re-release. But Winslet has said she and DiCaprio (above) won’t be having a Titanic reunion. “No, we’ll just sit around going, ‘Can you f—-ing believe this? Isn’t this weird?’”
