Lahore dominated the third day of the Inter-collegiate Girls Karate with two gold and one silver medal. Afia Azam of Lahore bagged gold in 45 kgs, Rida Aslam of Multan secured silver. Memona Qadir earned gold in 50 kgs while Aroosa Sheikh grabbed silver in the same category. The +50 kgs gold went to Quratul Ain of DG Khan and silver to Hira Fozia of Sahiwal. MPA Naseem Lodhi was the chief guest on this occasion.
In football college semifinal, Lahore thrashed Bahawalpur 7-1. Gujranwala scored 14 points beating Multan in girls college basketball. In athletics boys college, Shanakht Ali of Lahore claimed first positions in 100m and long jump. Hafiz Waqas of Gujranwala got position in 200 m.
In 400m, Mohammed Awais of Gujranwala, 800m, Mohammad Bilal of Faisalabad, 1500 m, Mohammad Ismail of Faisalabad won the first positions while in the shot put and javelin throw Nadeem Khan of Sargodha and Baber Khan of Sargodha attained first positions.
In the general public athletics, Tanveer Mumtaz of Faisalabad won first positions in 100 and 200 m races. In 400 m, Farukh Zaman of Gujranwala, 800 m and 1500 m, Mohammad Waqas of Multan, in long jump, Mohammad Imran of Faisalabad, javelin throw, Mohammad Noman of Faisalabad while in shot-put, Zainullah Khan of Sahiwal won the first positions.
In general public cricket, Lahore beat Gujranwala by 15 runs, DG Khan beat Bahawalpur by 8 wickets, DG Khan scored 65 whereas Bahawalpur chased the target with the loss of 2 wickets.
In college cricket, Faisalabad hit Sargodha by 6 wickets chasing the target of 66 runs in four overs. Lahore beat Sahiwal by 62 runs. In the volleyball girls school, Gujranwala beat Faisalabad 3-0 (25-9, 25-15 and 25-13). Gujranwala batched first position while Faisalabad was second in the overall results.
