Islamabad police on Monday claimed to have arrested eight outlaws, including a swindler who deprived people of cash and other valuables on the pretext of doubling their money.
According to details, Assistant Sub Inspector Arshad Ahmed of Margallah police nabbed a swindler, Azam alias Mini Double Shah, who used to mint money from people on the pretext of doubling it.
He was arrested on the complaint of 13 people who had given their money to the swindler. The police arrested him under Section 420 of PPC.
Meanwhile, ASI Akhtar Abbas of Margalla police arrested one Aftab for stealing a car from Murree.
Abpara police apprehended Akbar Khan and recovered stolen items worth Rs. 200,000 from him. Sub Inspector Saleem Ullah from Women police station apprehended a bootlegger Zeeshan for having 10 bottles of liquor while ASI Zulfiqar of Shehzad Town police nabbed Saeed Ahmed for possessing two bottles of liquor.
Similarly, ASI Umer Hayat of Nilore police arrested Sheeraz and recovered 10 bottles of liquor from him while ASI Ghulam Jilani of Koral police nabbed Raja Arsalan for having a 38-bore pistol. Sub Inspector Sher Ahmed of Golra police arrested Sultan and recovered a 30-bore pistol from him.
21 SUSPECTS ARRESTED: The city police on Monday conducted search operations in various areas of the metropolis and rounded up 21 suspects.
The operations were conducted on the special direction of SSP Muhammad Yousaf Malik to maintain a high vigilance.
Sharing details, a spokesman for the Islamabad police said that the Secretariat, Golra, Ramna and Tarnol police nabbed four, 10, two and five suspects, respectively.
The SSP directed the police officials to ensure effective policing in their respective areas through high vigilance and strict patrolling.
