The industries established in suburbs of Lahore have complained against power outages and have warned that if LESCO does not stop them they would strike and take to the streets.
They said LESCO official, instead of providing them relief, were least bothered and had not even given them a reason for carrying out unscheduled outages. “Suburbs of the city, like Kot Radha Kishan, are facing 16 to 20 hours of load shedding while LESCO is deceiving people by saying that only eight hours of outages are being carried out,” the industrialists said, adding “our business is at its lowest because of gas and electricity outages. Where do we go?” “We have not been able to meet even a single LESCO official to ask them why they are doing this to us,” Rohail Ikram, an owner of pharmaceutical company in Kot Radha Kishan said. Power outages were also carried out in the residential area of the city on Sunday. Where the official announcement said there would be a suspension of power for 6 to 8 hours only, in reality, there was no power for 10 to 12 hours in the city. Currently, LESCO is facing a shortfall of 800MW.

  1. Our industrialist are like ostriches. Just look around every thing is being stolen. Even the "Tough Tiles" on sidewalks are disappearing. It is as if we elected "monkeys" to guard the "popcorn". In this environment we don't need half baked industrialists vandalizing property. Look for solutions and better vigilance or some foreign power will rearrange your DNA for you
