At least three people were killed in a roadside bomb blast in Khyber Agency’s Bara tehsil on Wednesday. According to security sources, unknown miscreants had planted a bomb along a roadside in Sipah area of Bara that killed two passers-by and injured another. The injured man also succumbed to his wounds at a local hospital. The political administration said curfew had been imposed in Datakhel, Razmak, Dousili, Mir Ali and Bannu Road areas indefinitely to maintain law and order. The Political Agent in Wana, Muhammad Javed Marwat, has summoned a grand jirga of Ahmed Zai and Wazir tribes. The 120-member jirga would represent all nine tribes of the agency and key issues relating to law and order, armed attacks on security checkposts and convoys would come under discussion.

Good move by the EU to provide 10 robots and 10 equipped vehicles to Pakistan. It will
definitely help the security agencies in controlling the terrorists attack, powered by
improvised explosive devices.
Finally, EU has taken a note of the devastation caused by the use of improvised
explosive devices. They will be providing Pakistan with the latest robotic technology that
would help them to locate and deactivate explosive material.
