The PPP on Tuesday suspended the basic party membership of Punjab information secretary Dr Fakharuddin Chaudhry. Talking to Pakistan Today, PPP Punjab General Secretary Samiullah Khan said that Fakhar’s membership was suspended due to his meeting with PML-N MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif. Sami said that Fakhar could file an appeal to the PPP co-chairman against his suspension, adding that the office-bearer violated the party discipline.
