62 wine bottles and narcotics seized; five held

The city police on Sunday arrested five outlaws including bootleggers from various areas of the city and recovered 62 wine bottles, hashish and weapons from their possession. According to details, patrolling team of Shehzad town police station arrested a bottlegger from `Service Road Sohan’ and recovered 47 wine bottles from him. Similarly, police patrolling team of Kohsar police nabbed Anwar Masih for having 15 wine bottles while Sub-Inspector Iftikhar Ahmed nabbed Wasim Masih in possession of 210 gram hashish.
Aabpara police station nabbed Abdul Ghaffar at Faizabad police picket in possession of 9 MM pistol and 19 rounds. On a tip off, Sub-Inspector Khalid Mehmud raided at a gambling site near Melody market and arrested Kashif Hussain. Other gamblers managed to escape while stake money and mobile phones were recovered from nabbed persons. During the last two week, Islamabad Police also made efforts to arrest proclaimed offenders, court absconders and succeeded to arrest 60 such criminals who were at large despite their involvement in various crime cases.
