Militants ambushed a Frontier Constabulary (FC) convoy in Dera Bugti area in Balochistan killing two soldiers and injuring another nine, security officials said on Saturday. The convoy was on its routine patrol in the Sangsela area when the vehicle hit an explosive device planted on the roadside. The Balochistan Republican Army has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The FC personnel cordoned off the area and initiated an investigation into the incident. Meanwhile, police personnel in the Dera Murad Jamali area escaped a terror bid when a bomb planted by unidentified men went off damaging their vehicle. “The unidentified men had planted a bomb along the roadside and exploded it with remote control when the van of police patrolling party passed by the area,” police sources said.
