Speaker of Indian Lok Sabha Smt Meira Kumar will arrive in Pakistan on February 21 on a five-day official visit. This will be the first ever-official visit of Lok Sabha speaker to Pakistan. The National Assembly spokesperson said Smt Meira Kumar would lead a delegation comprising seven members from Lok Sabha and Rajia Sabha. He said the delegation was visiting Pakistan on the invitation of Speaker National Assembly Dr Fehmida Mirza.
He said the visit would help strengthen the relations between the parliaments of both the countries. The spokesperson said that the Lok Sabha speaker would also meet Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani, Senate Chairman and Pak-India friendship group members in the national assembly during her visit to Pakistan.
