At least 17 militants were killed in Khyber Agency and Orakzai Agency in two separate clashes early Friday morning.
According to the media reports, earlier on Friday morning, the troops, with the backup of gunship helicopters, launched an attack at two militants’ hideouts in Khyber Agency.
During the operation, five militants were killed and eight others were wounded,while the two hideouts were completely destroyed, said the report, adding that three Pakistani troops and three local pro-government militia were also killed in the operation.
Shortly after this, Army launched an attack at four militants’ hideouts in the neighboring tribal area of Orakzai Agency.
During the operation, 12 militants were reportedly killed and ten others were wounded.
