Punjab University Sports Department on Thursday organised the first-ever workshop on ‘Physical Activities and Risk Management’ at Al-Raazi Hall, Undergraduate Study Centre. Physics Department Chairman Prof Dr Shaukat Ali, was the chief guest while Punjab Emergency Services 1122 DG Dr Rizwan, Director Sports Zafar Rashid, Sports Additional Director Attia Mumtaz, faculty members and a large number of students participated in the event.
Addressing the ceremony, Prof Dr Shaukat Ali highlighted the importance of sports and said that Punjab University was proud of its sportsmen who had brought their Alma Matter into limelight internationally. He urged the students to utilise their bundles of energy to propel the university to new heights. Director Sports Zafar Rashid said that the sportsmen should be encouraged to enhance their performances.
