Marcel Kittel of Germany won the third stage of the Tour of Oman race on Thursday, winning a sprint finish ahead of fellow countryman Andre Greipel and Nacer Bouhanni of France. Britain’s world champion Mark Cavendish took eighth place. Greipel, who won the race’s first stage on Tuesday, took the red jersey that goes to the race’s overall leader, taking over from Peter Sagan of Slovakia. Friday’s fourth stage covers 142.5 kilometres from Bidbid Naf’a to Al Wadi al Kabir.
