Mother jumps into well to save son

A 40-year old mother jumped into a well on Wednesday to save the life of her child who had fallen into it while playing nearby.
Four-year-old Aqeeb was playing in the courtyard of the house where his mother has been working for the last four months as a maid.
When she saw her child fall into the well, Robina Bibi jumped in to save Aqeeb.
The incident occurred on Sharif road in the Koral Police precints.
Koral Police Station ASI Manzoor Ahmed who visited the area to investigate into the matter, said: “Both the mother and child fell 20 feet. Luckily the well was mostly dry.”
He added that rescue workers responded fast and safely fished out Robina Bibi and Aqeeb out of the well. The police officer said the child received minor injuries and was rushed to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for treatment.
