As many as 28 bills sent by the Punjab Assembly (PA) to Punjab Governor Latif Khosa for final approval are still pending. The sources told Pakistan Today on Monday that so far these bills had not been approved by the governor.
Earlier, Governor Khosa returned 28 bills approved by the PA with certain objections but the provincial assembly sent them back to the governor after completing legal requirements; still the governor did not approve them.
According to the constitution whether the governor signs it or not, a bill automatically becomes law if the assembly resends it for the governor’s approval.
