We will not let anyone take any kind of tax from the Malakand division and will thwart any such bid, Pakistan Muslim League–Quaid (PML-Q) Khyber Pakthunkhwa (KP) President and Deputy Parliamentary Leader Engineer Amir Muqam said on Saturday.
Addressing a public gathering at Khawaza Khela, Muqam said rulers should be ashamed of their inability to provide relief to people – rather than putting further taxes on them. He said, “If the so-called representatives of Pakhtuns attempt to implement taxation in Malakand division forcibly, we will launch civil disobedience movement under the PML-Q flag.”
He said if they do not then the movement for the new provinces of Hazara and Malakand will be of no avail. ANP members Mohammad Aziz Khan. Tal hayat Khan, Kaki Khan, Umar Khitab, Anwar ul haq and Ismail resigned on the occasion to join PML-Q with party workers on the occasion.
