PPP to win next election: Mukhtar

Defence Minister Ahmad Mukhtar said on Friday that PPP would win next general election despite the blame game against its leadership.
Addressing a stone laying ceremony of the expansion of Pakistan People’s Party Punjab office here, he challenged PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan Tehrik e Insaaf leaders Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi to contest joint election in Gujrat against PPP. “We will defeat them even they contest jointly,” he claimed.
He said President Asif Ali Zardari had made Shah Mehmood a leader by teaching him politics but, he alleged he (Shah Mehmood) had deceived the president and left the party. He said the tsunami of the PTI had already been washed away and now it was the era of “Jialas” of the PPP.
He said that no force could defeat the PPP in elections if the workers were with it. He assured his continuous financial support for the construction work of the PPP office.
Earlier, PPP Punjab President Imtiaz Safdar Warraich addressed the ceremony and said that conspiracies against the PPP did not have value as every party worker was ready to sacrifice even his life for the party.
He hoped that the PPP would win next election and complete its hat-trick by winning maximum votes consecutively in three polls. “Tsunami Khan could not win more than one seat till now,” he added.
He thanked Ahmad Mukhtar for his support for the extension of the PPP office and equipping it with latest facilities.
National Heritage Federal Minister Samina Khalid Ghurki, Deputy Parliamentary Leader in Punjab Assembly, Shaukat Basra and PPP Punjab General Secretary Sami Ullah Khan also spoke on the occasion.
Later, the defence minister performed a stone laying ceremony for the expansion of the PPP Punjab office.
Several PPP MNAs, MPAs and leaders including Mian Ayub, Saleem Urreman Mayo, Faiza Malik, Hasnat Shah, Ghulam Fareed Kathia, Usman Malik, Mian Hafeez and Zekria Butt were also present.

  27. This defense minister should look in the mirror as to what have they done in last four year. They have been screwing people for last four years. They have looted national wealth with both hand. They have deprived people from basic necessities. They have violated the law. Their leader is the biggest crook. He has taken away public money and put in foreign bank accounts. People of Pakistan should remember that and get rid of these these crooks. If they dont then these shameless PPP leaders will screw them again. SO this government must go. There should be other way.

  33. What are you smoking ? or may be you are in absoloute denial. Deep down everyone even in PPP also know that it is uphill task to defeat PTI. Actually every party knows the fact that PTI will win the election. It is not that PPP is not a good party or PML is a bad party or for that matter other parties are not capable enough to do the job. It is the people of the country who want a change and I guess PTI is fresh political party and Imran Khan is leading it. So, it is like a cake with icing, too. So, what ever you are thinking, you have a right, but this time around it is PTI and Imran Khan.

  36. How can your newspaper print any old crap these thieves say? This man was hauled up for corruption in selling textile quotas when he was Commerce Minister. As far as Asif Zardari teaching politics to Shah Mahmood Qureshi is concerned, Shah Mahmood started politics in 1983 and was a minister in 1985, when no one knew who Asif Zardari was except those few who used to sell cinema tickets in black outside the Bambino cinema.

    • To you last sentence I may add that Zardari in his youth used to steal wheel covers from the cars parked is parking lot of Bambino cinema. This is kind of mind set and up bringing he had .
