The Department of Law and Policy at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) organised the 3rd National Moot Court Competition with the topic ‘The Legality of Attacks on a Country’s Soil and Sovereignty.’ Teams from all over Pakistan participated in it and displayed legal prowess and academic research skills. The team from Pakistan College of Law, Lahore was the winner and SZABIST, Karachi were the runner-up. Muhammad Dawood Jan from University Law College, Quetta received the Best Oralist award and Zeeshan Zafar Hashmi from Pakistan College of Law received the Best Speaker award. Dr. Parvez Hassan graced the event as the chief guest. Justice Sair Ali, Justice Aamer Raza Khan, and Justice Asad Munir, esteemed justices both from the Supreme Court and the High Court adjudicated the proceedings in an avant-garde fashion. Judges, lawyers, members of legal fraternity, faculty, and students from all over Pakistan attended the event which made it a great success.
It was a great honor for me to be awarded with the best oralist award. Thanks to LUMS for hosting such a marvelous event.
