Health experts from the World Health Organisation (WHO) arrived in Lahore on Wednesday to provide drug management support to the Punjab Health Department. Experts of essential medicines also arranged a meeting with Jinnah Hospital Principal Prof Dr Javaid Akram and Dr Saeed Ellahi, chairman of the Chief Minister’s Inspection Team for Drugs. They visited the hospital to provide assistance in developing a pharmaco-vigilance system and to examine the drug affected patients. They proposed various steps to the laboratory administration for improving assistance to patients. The specialists also visited Services Hospital and Punjab Institute of Cardiology to answer the concerns of drug affected patients.
