Petrol shortages reportedly hit stations around the provincial capital on Tuesday as motorists rushed to fill up before a price hike. Various filling stations stopped petroleum products sale due to anticipated increase in prices of POL products. Motorist were witnessed roaming around different petrol stations in search of petrol, but petrol pump owners had stopped both petrol and diesel sale, as Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain had already indicated a hefty increase in petroleum products prices from February 1.It is being expected that petroleum products prices would jump up by six per cent.
