Servant arrested for looting employers

The Islamabad Police arrested a domestic staff member on Tuesday, for looting the family he worked for. The police also recovered looted jewellery worth millions of rupees. According to details, Dr Muhammad Shafique lodged a complaint with the Shalimar Police Station on January 9 that stated that his servant Sajjad Ahmad told him about three robbers entering the house and stealing the family’s jewellery. The police registered a case and started investigation. Shalimar Police Station SHO Inspector Rasheed Ahmad Niazi and ASI Muhammad Akram suspected Ahmed’s story and arrested him to investigate further. During the investigation, Ahmed confessed to stealing the jewellery.
In a separate incident, the police also arrested Ashfaq Faisal, accused of mobile phone-snatching and recovered two mobile phones among other things from him. The police also arrested six other people for their involvement in murder, drug-pushing and possessing illegal weapons. The police also recovered valuables worth millions of rupees from them, including jewellery, cell phones, a stolen car, three bottles of liquor and a 30-bore pistol from them.
