As Hollywood is still preoccupied with the news of Demi Moore’s hospitalisation, many people are still talking about the 911 call that led to it last week, but George Clooney thinks the call shouldn’t have been made public at all. The actor shared his opinion during Sunday night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards.
“I think it’s a stupid thing,” George said at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. “I think it’s stupid for anyone, whether they’re celebrated or not, I don’t believe their 911 calls should be broadcast around the world.” An edited version of the 911 call was released Friday. In the call, a woman tells emergency operators that the actress smoked something similar to incense, was convulsing and had lapsed into semi-conscious. TMZ reports that references to whip-its (inhaling nitrous oxide to get high) were redacted from the tape, along with specific references to other drugs.
George’s friend Brad Pitt also spoke on a serious topic, giving an update on his Make It Right Foundation which is helping to rebuild New Orleans’ Lower 9th Ward. “Now we have the neighbourhood over halfway done,” said Brad. “Families are experiencing no utility bills. We’re over the moon about the potential.”
