Pop singer-turned-actor Ali Zafar is eagerly waiting for the release of the music album of his next movie-‘London Paris New York’. The reason being that Ali has composed seven tracks in this film. Interestingly, Ali has not only composed these songs, but has also sung a track along with two artistes from Pakistan. Ali has recorded a special fusion track that is a mix of pop and Sufi music. He said, “Sanam Marvi is a trained Sufi, ghazal and folk singer. Hadiqa Kiyani is a leading pop singer who was a judge on ‘Pakistan Idol’. It is an interesting track and it will be refreshing for the audience to listen to a different kind of a song in a Bollywood movie.” Ali had tweeted, “Honoured to have Hadika Kiani and Sanam Marvi feature on the soundtrack of LPNY music album to be released on the 30th of this month(sic).” His co-star Aditi Rao Hydari too, is on a high as she has turned singer in LPNY. The actor reveals that her co-star Ali Zafar encouraged her to sing. “Ali was always singing on the sets and I would casually join him. He is the one who encouraged me to sing and built up my confidence.” She adds that she has always had a penchant for singing. “I can’t imagine a life without singing. Though others say my voice is good, I was not confident of it being used for recording a professional song.” Hydari admits her co-star also guided her through the recordings. “He brought out the best in me. He’d say ‘If God has given you a gift, then use it’. That worked!” Hydari has sung a rock ballad and a club song along with Ali for the film’s soundtrack, which also boasts of varied music genres like pop, electronica and blues. The promotional activities for the film involve gigs in Delhi, Hyderabad and Pune, and that it is scheduled to start in March. Directed by Anu Menon, the film is about a couple that meets at the bridges of three rivers Thames, Siene and Hudson, in London, Paris and New York respectively. Hydari has also been approached by Zafar to be a part of his forthcoming album, which may also feature Katrina Kaif as a singer. She says, “I would be happy to be a part of it. I would love to sing for my other films as well, if there is an opportunity.”
