Chief commissioner performs IG Block’s groundbreaking

Islamabad Chief Commissioner Tariq Mahmood Pirzada on Thursday performed a ground-breaking ceremony of the IG Block here on Thursday in Sector G/11.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief commissioner said that timely completion of the IG Block would be top priority of the administration and smooth availability of funds would be ensured for the project. The building for the office of the inspector general of police was being constructed on the premises of the ICT Administration Block Complex in Sector G-11/4, Islamabad.
The ceremony was attended by IGP Binamin, Deputy Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed, ICT Development/Finance Director Rana Akbar Hayat, SSP Malik Muhammad Yousaf, Project Director Ayaz Khan and other officials. Earlier, CDA Project Director Ayaz Khan gave a detailed briefing on the project and said the construction of the IG Block would be completed on July 24, 2013, with an estimated cost of Rs 60.971 million. The chief commissioner directed the project director and the contractor to ensure timely completion of the project and quality of work.
