Change is not far away and the days of the PPP and the PML-N are over, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said on Sunday. Addressing a large rally, Imran once again lamented the sorry state the country was in. He said the poor getting poorer under the oppression of those who were holding the reigns of this country for ages, however, adding that the circumstances were going to soon change for the better. The PTI chief picked apart the leadership of the two major political parties, the PML-N and the PPP.
He said PML-N President Nawaz Sharif was a hypocrite, who never raised a finger at President Asif Ali Zardari or questioned him about the billions of stolen rupees, as both savoured roasted pheasants for breakfast together. Responding to Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani’s statement regarding PTI’s agenda, Khan said his party’s agenda was far better than that of the ruling party.
“The country is rife with corruption, which the PTI will eradicate in record time,” he said. He vowed to empower farmers with low cost fertilizers, electricity and quality seeds so that average production could be brought at least at par with India. Khan said through facilities to farmers, Punjab alone could increase production by Rs 300 billion. “Our farmer toils all year long, but his labours never bear a fruit which he can pick, the feudal lords always take what is rightfully his,” he said, adding that farmers were in dire need of justice as 30 percent of their production was being looted by brokers sitting in the assemblies. Khan said sugar mafia in Pakistan was very strong and they were not making payment to the farmers. He said the PTI would collect double tax from those who were evading it, adding that there was no rule of law in the country and citizens’ life and property were at the mercy of robbers and plunderers. Referring to the NRO case, Khan said the president had deposited Rs 5 billions in Swiss banks after looting the national economy and the prime minister was saying that he would not write the letter to Swiss courts, adding that the nation had a right to know where from this money has come. The PTI chief said the poor were languishing in jails in theft cases while those who had looted the national economy were being protected.

  1. If we continue to follow or wait for someone to lead us out of this mess, let’s be sure there will be no change, Mr. Khan is no different, his whole existence and surge depends on the support from the power broker in the our country… He is perceived as modern man, however, his view and support for militants says otherwise.

  2. its time for PTI ofcourse kaptaan we are with you and we wont go with this propaganda of lotoo or loton thats just bulshit by PMLN AND PPP THEY HAVE THE MOST LOTAS

  3. Yes. Fariha Fari, name me one corruption charge on Imran Khan? WHy the entire nation trusts him so much and donate like anything for his missions? Not a single rupee corruption has ever been blamed in Shokat Khanam project. Be logical.

    • Politicains get corrupt when they are elected into power. It is just to earler to determine IK is such an honest politician.

    • It goes by the alliance at start-up – cash at maturity.

So follow the alliance to predict the future…

    • Change is never brought by crowd. Change comes from the vision and idea of the leadership. 65% of the NA seats are rural based where you have to recruit people with good vote bank. It, in no way suggests that people joining IK will derail PTI's vision of bringing true change. PTI will no award people who have committed financial corruption.
Its the first time in Pakistan's history that people have left there MNA seats and ministries for joining a party who does no have any presence in NA. lota means leaving the opposition and joining the govt. to earn handsome money or perks.

    • like fatima bhutto and marvi memon werent offsprings of corrupt leaders..if these 2 would hav joined pti then they would hav accused us of signing corrupt dynastic politicians…where do u think he should field candidates from???outer space ??just look at the 97 and 2002 election when he fielded all new faces..what happened??avg 2500 to 3000 votes per constituency..thats it…do u want change in this lifetime or after our country is torn apart by ur patriotic zaradaris and sharifs….pls understand the political system and how it works…n then blame it on a guy who has never even been in power once.

  4. They can accuse him of whatever, my vote is still for PTI. I know Imran khan isn't hungry for power, he actually wants to help this country and not exploit it.

  5. Here we have electoral politics and free media so no need of arab spring. We are working within system and progress wityhin system. So Imran keep it up.

  6. Await election in 2013, let the people to decide who they want. I have full confidence in them they will reject this fascism of IK.

  7. I am over 50 years and fed up of two parties that I supported one way or another. They are garbage in and garbage out. I will vote for change this time as I feel it is futile trying old parties and my mistakes. I hope my country fellow will not repeat their mistakes.
