Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) has offered eight Senate seats to its coalition partner Pakistan Muslim-Quaid (PML-Q) while it is demanding 10 seats, sources said Sunday.
Well-placed sources told online that the talks between PPP and PML-Q for Senate elections had almost reached the final stage.
Chaudhry brothers argue that they need 10 seats in Senate as they want to bring back their angry members by providing seats in the Upper House.
“We have sought 10 seats in the Senate while the PPP has offered only eight seats”, the PML-Q sources said. The PPP leadership insists several senior party leaders are not in favour of giving 10 seats to the PML-Q.
The sources said the PML-Q might grant tickets to Waseem Sajjad, Mushahid Hussain Syed, Kamil Ali Agha, Syed Dilawar Abbas, Raja Basharat and SM Zafar.
