The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday temporarily revoked Dr Babar Awan’s license to practice the law over his ‘inappropriate’ and ‘unfair’ behavior in the court in Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto reference case.
The court said hearing of the ZAB reference case would not be conducted unless the federation appoints a new counsel in lieu of Dr Babar Awan.
The court, while resuming hearing of the case today, also sought details of Dr Awan’s academic qualifications and testimonial of his law practice.

  1. The action is uncalled for. If the Judges can make irresponsible remarks while sitting in Court, lawyers should not be stopped from reading a few verses in lighter vein.

  2. Two wrongs do not make a right.

Judges must speak through their judgments whilst solicitors/ lawyers and barrister must uphold the highest in professional behavioral.

  3. Babar Awan is an immature man lusty of money, fame and power , he is least pushed about rationality , sensibility and sobriety. People like him dont care about principles , humanity and their motherland .

  4. He should be declared ineligible to appear in any court of Pakistan due to his misconduct for life time.

  5. Ithink this court should also be suspended, look at the irreresponsible reamarks of Asif Saeed Khosa & even those of IMC>

  6. Great injustice has been done to Babar Awan. Judges themselves make highly irresponsible remarks in open court and then pass judgements which are in total negation of Constitution & Law. If somebody reads a verse or two in lighter vein, it becomes unbearable for people we unfortunately find presiding in courts. Just look how small they are!!!
