The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration will provide assistance in upgrading various facilities at government schools in rural areas of Islamabad. According to sources, the ICT administration will upgrade facilities at Model College for Girls Golra Sharif, Islamabad Model School for Girls Sangjani and Islamabad Model Schools for Girls Jhangi Sayedan. Computer literacy centres in 12 union councils of the city will be established and far-flung areas will be covered to provide basic computer knowledge to students. Sources said that the federal government had allocated funds for development of rural areas of Islamabad to bring rural areas of Islamabad at par with urban areas and raising the standard of living of the people.
