An earthquake of mild-to-medium intensity jolted parts of Karachi late Saturday night.
According to the geological department, an earthquake measuring 4.7 on Richter scale was felt in different areas of Karachi on late Saturday night.
Citizens rushed out of their homes in panic after the quake. Hundreds of people spent several hours in open area in intense cold weather due to fear of aftershocks.
The epicenter of the quake was located 191 kilometers off coast of Karachi the geological department said.
