A 40-years-old man was shot dead at his doorstep by three unidentified persons including a woman in Badami Bagh police area on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Bashir, a tailor by profession and resident of Data Nagar. According to details, the deceased was called out of his house by someone to collect Niaaz (charity meal). When he came out with pots, fire was opened on him. Police removed the body to the morgue for post mortem and registered a case against unidentified persons on complaint of deceased’s brother Nazeer. The complainant told the police that he had come to Lahore from Faisalabad for Urs of Data Ganj Bakhsh and was residing at his brother’s place when some persons shot Basheer dead at his doorsteps.
